Cheerio, dear ones!

I have been working on this site, and I am far from complete. However, I wanted to have a place for you to keep in touch with each other and ask questions, share info, and just chat.

To update you, the spring semester is just about ready for publication. At this point, it still looks like Shakespeare and Creative Writing will be options for you within the major this next semester. I am working on the rotation of classes, but I hope to add one more class to your major. I have talked to Dr. Chitwood and hope to add it for next fall. I am still working on a write up for the class, but it will probably be called something like English Seminar. It will be class designed specifically to help you as an English major. We'll cover things like resumes, what you can actually do with an English degree, preparation for graduate work, and things of that nature. It should be a great class.

Well, I'm off to grade more papers, read more British novels, and have a nice quiet evening with Brandon. The girls are at the grandparents! :)

Hello all!

I am trying something new, so please be patient with me. I thought about a blog for majors to help us keep in touch with each other and have a place to put writing that we might want some feedback on. Feel free to add a post and converse with each other on the writing/reading you are doing currently.

I'll also try to give you information about what is coming up for the major and class offerings. As of right now, it looks like creative writing and Shakespeare will be offered in the spring. That should provide almost all of you some help in getting those classes that you need.
